Shonen Jump+ held “MILLION TAG,” a “battle audition” show that was meant to discover “the next star manga creator”. On August 20, 2021, it has been announced that the “Beat & Motion” manga by Naoki Fujita was declared as the winner. As a prize, the author will get 5 million yen (~US$45,500), an opportunity to serialize his manga on Shonen Jump+, and a compiled book volume of his work. “Beat & Motion” will also get an anime adaptation by Netflix.
Fujita’s editor was none other than Shihei Rin (editor of works such as “Chainsaw Man” and “SPY x FAMILY”). What’s more, the “MILLION TAG” program is available in its entirety on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine YouTube channel. It follows six teams that compete in four challenges.

What’s more, Tatsuki Fujimoto (“Chainsaw Man”), and Yūji Kaku (“Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku”) were guest judges in the final challenge. As of now, there’s no premiere date or any details about the “Beat & Motion” Netflix anime adaptation as of now.
