ONE PIECE released episode 1012 this Sunday, and the preview showed that episode 1013 will focus on Yamato meeting the fan favorite Fire Fist Ace for the first time. We already knew Ace had visited Onigashima looking for Kaido and left after wreaking havoc here, and we’re getting to see how he met Yamato next week. We see flashbacks to child Yamato and child Ace, as well as Roger for a second. You can watch the episode on both Funimation or Crunchyroll, and few images from the preview are below:

The title of episode 1003 is “Yamato’s Past! The Man Who Came for an Empereor of the Sea!” and it will release next Sunday on March 6, 2022. It’s been a while since we saw an episode focused on Ace, and it will be exciting to see how he inspired Luffy’s current ally. We know he eventually got out of Wano, so we might see why he went after the Yonko in the first place and what exactly happened while he was there.
The ONE PIECE manga is also returning from its break today, and chapter 1041 will release today at midnight in Japan (Japan Standard Time).
