One-Punch Man manga is going on approximately month-long hiatus, manga artist Yusuke Murata announced on his Twitter account. Murata stated that they will notify everyone once the new chapter is ready; the next chapter is also marking the beginning of a new arc.
One-Punch Man is going on this short hiatus with a total of 26 volumes; the latest volume was published on June 3. The manga is written by ONE and illustrated by Murata. It started serialization in 2012 in Tonari no Young Jump. Viz Media licensed the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Every time a promising villain appears, Saitama beats the snot out of ’em with one punch! Can he finally find an opponent who can go toe-to-toe with him and give his life some meaning? Or is he doomed to a life of superpowered boredom?
The series received an anime adaptation by studio MADHOUSE in 2015. The first season was followed by an OVA titled One-Punch Man: Road to Hero by the same studio. Studio J.C.Staff animated the highly-anticipated second season that premiered in 2019. While the first season won over the fans, the second one received mixed reviews. A third season was recently announced, but details are still unknown.
