The Red Cat Ramen (Aka Neko Ramen) anime revealed the first trailer at this year’s Jump Festa, along with Kenjiro Tsuda as the voice of the main character – Buzo. Buzo is the cat manager of the Ramen Aka Neko cafe, who doesn’t talk much. The anime will premiere in July 2024.
The series has also revealed a new, updated key visual that shows the series premiere date and the staff. The anime is directed by Hisashi Shimizu and will be animated by E&H Production. E&H Production is also in charge of producing the anime alongside Good Smile Company. Toru Kubo is in charge of the series composition and the scripts, with Michinori Chiba as the character designer. The anime was first announced on November 26 of this year.
Red Cat Ramen is a manga series written and illustrated Angyaman. The series first began on Shueisha’s Jump Rookie website, before transferring as an independent comic on Shuiesha’s Shounen Jump+ in March 2022. It got promoted to a regular series in October 2022. Fans can read the manga in English on Shueisha’s MANGA PLUS and the platform describes the plot as:
Meet Tamako, who’s found her way into an interview at a ramen shop run solely by cats. When the feline manager asks if she likes cats, Tamako admits that she’s actually a dog person…only to be hired on the spot! But her job isn’t quite what she expects. Rather than serving ramen, she’s now a dedicated cattaker…!?
