Bokyaku Battery (Oblivion Battery) Anime Reveals Trailer, Visual and April Premiere Date

The previously announced Bokyaku Battery (Oblivion Battery) anime series revealed a teaser trailer and key visual, along with information on the additional cast members during this year’s Jump Festa. The anime will premiere in April 2024 and will be animated by studio MAPPA. Mamoru Miyano and Toshiki Masuda, who will voice Kei Kaname and Haruka Kiyomine respectively, were present for the Jump Festa stage.

Joining Miyano and Masuda in the main cast are:

Bokyaku Battery – Trailer

Bokyaku Battery follows a pair of genius baseball players who reunite at university and start playing baseball together again. Haruka Kiyomine was once known as a genius pitcher while Kei Kaname was once known as the skilled catcher and as the “General.” Together, they made a name for themselves during their junior high days and crushed the hopes and dreams of many junior high school players they went against. Suddenly, Kei lost his memories and with it his knowledge of baseball. The main staff for the anime series are as follows:

The anime will adapt the manga series of the same title written and illustrated by Eco Mikawa. The series began in April 2018 on Shonen Jump+ and has been viewed 200 million times. It inspired an original net anime animated by MAPPA in October 2020 and shown as a part of the Jump Special Anime Festa 2020 online event.
