Reincarnated as a Sword, also known as Tenken, is a Japanese light novel series written by Yu Tanaka. LLO provided illustrations for the novel which started off as a web novel on the user-generated Shosetsuka ni Naro website in October of 2015. GC Novels started publishing it in the light novel format in 2016 and it currently has 12 volumes. A manga adaptation by Tomowo Maruyama has also been ongoing since 2016 and is currently has 10 volumes. A spin-off manga titled Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Wish started publishing on the Comic Ride website in June of 2020. Hinako Inoue authored the spin-off. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel, the manga, and the spin-off manga and describes the plot as:
