Rent a Girlfriend manga author Reiji Miyajima updated his Twitter page on Sunday with an illustration of the Mami Nanami to celebrate her birthday on November 13. Aoi Yuki, the voice actress of the character in the anime adaptation, joined the celebration.
The newly-released illustration came with a simple birthday wish for Mami Nanami “Happy [birthday], Mami🎊”. The visual shows the character dressed in a checkered orange-and-black maid outfit and wearing pink roller skate shoes. The text in the picture reads “Mami Nanami Birthday Party 2022.”
Aoi Yuki, the voice actress of Mami Nanami In Rent a Girlfriend anime, quote-tweeted the above-mentioned post: “Happy birthday, Mami-chan🎉 The skate maid-san is retro-cute…” The voice actress is known for her roles as Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Tanya von Degurechaff in The Saga of Tanya the Evil.

Reiji Miyajima is running the Rent a Girlfriend manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since June 2017. The series published the 28th compiled volume in September 2022 and surpassed 10 million circulating copies. Kodansha is also publishing the manga in English and the 15th volume is scheduled to be released on November 29, 2022. The manga inspired two anime seasons by studio TMS ENTERTAINMENT, both aired from July to September with a total of 12 episodes, season 1 in 2020, and season 2 in 2022. A third season is also in production.
