Re:Zero Season 2 Part 2 Debuts Opening In Episode 6

Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2 Part 2 started back in January 6, and we only heard the opening today with the release of episode 6! Mayu Maeshima performs the opening theme song, and the title is “Long shot”. The video is also available on the official upload below:

Mayu Maeshima was in the band MYTH & ROID when they performed the ending theme “Styx Helix” for the first half of season one of Re:ZERO. They were also in charge of the opening theme for the second half called “Paradisus-Paradoxum”. She left the band in November 2017.

The anime is one of the most anticipated sequels of this season. It has a total of 44 episode as of today. You can vote for it as the best on our weekly poll, and the results come out every Friday. In case you haven’t seen it yet, you can read the synopsis:
Natsuki Subaru, an ordinary high school student, is on his way home from the convenience store when he finds himself transported to another world. As he’s lost and confused in a new world where he doesn’t even know left from right. The only person to reach out to him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to repay her somehow for saving him from his own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something she’s looking for…

Most of the episodes so far have been around 29 minutes long with no traditional opening/ending sequences. Re:Zero always delivered long episodes, and season 2 part 2 is no different, with the latest episode still around 28 minutes long not counting the new opening.

You can watch already the latest episode on Crunchyroll, and the image used as thumbnail is also from there.
