Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- has revealed a new visual for Season 4’s upcoming The Recapture Arc following the conclusion of The Loss Arc today. In addition, a special video of the iconic Season 1 ending song “Stay Alive” that was used in Part 1’s finale was also revealed, titled “Stay Alive ~Regain~.”
The first arc of the anime’s fourth season wrapped up with its 11th episode, and the series confirmed that the second arc titled The Recapture Arc will begin streaming on August 12. The new visual gives a first look at the next stage of Subaru and Emilia’s journey as the story prepares for a 1-month break before the second part.
Alongside the new visual, the series released a special performance video for “Stay Alive ~Regain~,” performed by Emilia voice actress Rie Takahashi. The song was featured in the final episode of The Loss Arc and serves as a new version of the iconic ending theme originally used during the anime’s first season.
According to the official press release, this marks the first time since Season 1 that Takahashi has performed the song as Emilia. The new version is meant to reflect both the character’s growth and the franchise’s decade-long run, while the performance video gives a direct look at the recording session.
“Stay Alive ~Regain~” was written, composed, and arranged by Heart’s Cry and will become available on digital music platforms beginning June 18, 2026.
Commenting on the new version, Takahashi said:
As Re:ZERO celebrates its 10th anniversary and the “The Loss Arc” of Season 4 comes to a close, I had the opportunity to sing “Stay Alive” once again. While preserving the feelings and spirit of the original song, I embraced it with the warmth that Emilia carries in her heart today. Somehow, it felt as though the song had naturally become one that gently stays by Subaru’s side. I hope you enjoy “Stay Alive ~Regain~,” a new song of encouragement leading into the upcoming “Recapture Arc.”
