The full title of the light novel series is Saikyo Onmyoji no Isekai Tenseiki: Geboku no Yōkai-domo ni Kurabete Monster ga Yowasugirunda ga (roughly translated as A Record of the Strongest Onmyoji’s Reincarnation to Another World: These Monsters Are Too Weak Compared to My Youkai). Kiichi Kosuzu first published it on Shosetsuka ni Naro website in December 2018, after which it was acquired by Futabasha, with illustrations from Shiso and Kihiro Yuzuki for the first and second volume respectively.

The series is based on the light novel series by Kiichi Kosuzu, known for the English title A Record of the Strongest Onmyoji’s Reincarnation to Another World: These Monsters Are Too Weak Compared to My Youkai. It was first serialized on Shosetsuka ni Naro in December 2018, before being acquired by Futabasha, with illustrations from Shiso and Kihiro Yuzuki for the first and second volumes respectively. A manga adaptation with illustration by Toshinori Okazaki has been serialized by Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website since May 2020.

The novel tells the story of Haruyoshi, the strongest onmyouji practitioner in the world. After being abandoned by everyone, he attempts to do a secret reincarnation spell and is reborn in another world, but with no magic abilities. Soon he declares he doesn’t need magic and decides that he is satisfied with his new life, while using his onmyou arts to get youkai to follow him.
