Shueisha Games has recently revealed trailers for three upcoming games – Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions, The Tower of Children, and SOULVARS. The game trailers were announced during the recently-concluded INDIE Live Expo (May 21 to 22, 2022).
The tactical adventure game will feature characters from the JUMP+ franchises. Among the characters that will join the game is Ushio Kofune from Summertime Rendering. Other characters that will be joining the game’s roster include Kaiju No. 8‘s Kafka Hibino, Heart Gear‘s Chrome, Slime Life‘s Slime, and Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku’s Gabimaru. Shueisha Games is publishing the game.
“Damian, a shy boy, creates an imaginary hero named “Captain Velvet Meteor” when he moves to Japan. In his imaginary world, he starts an adventure with his favorite JUMP+ hero! Will you be able to overcome difficulties and regain your peace of mind?”
The game is developed by Momo-Pi Game Studio and will be available on Nintendo Switch. It is slated for release in the summer of 2022.
Described by Shueisha Games as a “survival rogue adventure” game, little information has been released about the game’s overall look, except for a few screencaps of the gameplay. Tasto Alpha is developing the game, and is scheduled for release in fall of 2022.
At the end of the world and beyond
There was a tower without end
There are those who dwell in that tower
They are all children
Shoulder to shoulder on the tower
And they lived strong.
Actually, I believe it.
Rumor has it that there is a paradise on earth
After the Android and iOS release in January of this year, the upcoming SOULVARS update will bring the game to PC and consoles. A new prequel game called SOULVARS FATAL ERROR is also in the works. Ginolabo developed the game.
A full-fledged RPG with dynamic and eerie pixel-art animation and a hard-boiled story set in the present day. Enjoy deep builds, strategy, battles, training, and exploration to your heart’s content.
Shueisha Games is a gaming subsidiary under Japanese publisher Shueisha. It was launched in April this year and will focus on the creation of digital games based on titles licensed to their various manga magazines. Shueisha Games said that the project started with the idea of supporting a small number of talented game creators, but also manga artists, novelists, visual artists, illustrators, sound creators, and others.
