The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases is getting an anime, as revealed with a teaser visual. Shouta Aoi will voice the role of the main protagonist Allen. The series will be co-animated by Studio DEEN and Marvy Jack. No release date for the anime has been announced at this time. Fans can check out the teaser visual below:
Kazuomi Koga (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, Rent-A-Girlfriend) is directing the series with Rintarou Ikeda (Insomniacs After School, Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It) handling the series composition. Yoshiki Ookusa (Farewell, My Dear Cramer) will be in charge of the script and Saori Hosoda (Phantom of the Idol) the character designs.
The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases (Dekisokonai to Yobareta Moto Eiyu wa, Jikka kara Tsuihosareta node Suki Katte ni Ikiru Koto ni Shita) is a light novel series written by Shin Kozuki and illustrated by Chocoan that began publishing in 2018 under TO Books and has since published five volumes. The series originally ran for a year as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Narō between January 2018 – June 2019. No circulation numbers have been publicly released. Novel illustrator Chocoan drew a special illustration of Allen for the anime announcement:
