The previously-announced Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp anime adaptation will premiere in January 2024. A new visual and trailer have been released, as well as details on the main cast of the series. Maho Film is animating it under the direction of Kumiko Habara (I’m Standing on a Million Lives; I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss).
The main cast includes Yui Ishikawa as the doctor Elise de Lawrence, Yohei Azakami as Elise’s fiance Linden de Romanov, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as the doctor/teacher Graham de Fallon. Deko Akao is doing the series composition, while Yuko Watanabe is doing the character designs.
The Doctor Elise anime is based on the novel Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp by Yuin. It was first published in Kakao’s KakaoPage service from December 2015 to April 2016. A manhwa adaptation illustrated by Mini was serialized in KakaoPage from September 2017 to February 2018. Piccoma has licensed the novel in Japanese, while Tappytoon licensed it in English.
Tappytoon describes the novel’s plot as:

But just as she’s about to meet an untimely death over the ocean, she wakes up as Princess Elise once again?!
