Several titles from the Crunchyroll Spring 2024 anime lineup have been leaked online ahead of their premieres. The full episodes appeared online around March 28. So far the following titles have been leaked ahead of the premieres:
- KonoSuba – God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 3 (two episodes) – April 10
- Sound! Euphonium Season 3 (two episodes) – April 7
- Chillin’ in Another World With Level 2 Super Cheat Powers – April 8
- Unnamed Memory – April 9
- As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World – April 7
- Gods’ Games We Play – April 1
- Astro Note – April 5
- The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases also premiered – April 1
Anime News Network reports that Crunchyroll responded to their request for comment, stating that the company is investigating the source of leaks. It’s worth noting that all of the leaked titles were screened at Puerto Rico Comic Con, which took place between March 29-31.
Date a Live V, An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride, and The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases are also on Crunchyroll’s screener list for the event, but they were not leaked. The new season of DAL begins on April 10, while An Archdemon’s Dilemma premiered on April 4, with the second episode coming on April 5.
Leaks are not uncommon in the anime and manga industry but are usually reserved for staff and cast information, key visuals, panels, and movies that are showing in cinemas. Companies such as Toei Animation have been outspoken fighters against piracy that includes their intellectual property.
