Crunchyroll has announced its New York Comic Con 2026 programming lineup, featuring panels, screenings and new announcements for titles including The Apothecary Diaries Season 3, Black Clover Season 2, Sentenced to Be a Hero and BLACK TORCH.
The programming begins with the Crunchyroll Showcase on Thursday, October 8 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 405. The presentation will feature newly announced anime, sneak peeks, world premiere trailers and additional updates. The official press releases teases “huge announcements and new trailers.”
On Friday, October 9 at 12:15 p.m., The Apothecary Diaries will hold a panel in Room 409 featuring Aoi Yuki, the Japanese voice of Maomao, and Takeo Otsuka, the voice of Jinshi. The pair will discuss their work on the anime and recreate scenes from the series. Season 3 is set to premiere on October 2.
Sentenced to Be a Hero will follow later that day at 6:30 p.m. in Room 405. Original author Rocket Shokai and illustrator Mephisto will appear alongside Yohei Azakami, who voices Xylo, and Mayu Iizuka, who voices Teoritta, for a discussion about adapting the series from page to screen. The production of Season 2 was recently confirmed.
Black Clover Season 2 will receive a special screening on Saturday, October 10 at 12:45 p.m. on the Empire Stage. Gakuto Kajiwara and Dallas Reid, the Japanese and English voices of Asta respectively, will participate in behind-the-scenes discussion and a live dubbing session. Season 2 is set to premiere on October 3 after over 5 years since the first season ended.
On Sunday, October 11 at 12:00 p.m., BLACK TORCH will take over the Empire Stage with English cast members AJ Beckles, who voices Jiro Azuma, and Keith Silverstein, who voices Rago. The panel will look back on the series’ action, comedy and major moments.
Crunchyroll will also host several advance screenings during the convention, including:
- Dengeki Daisy Episode 1
- Firefly Wedding Episode 1
- Here U Are Episodes 1 and 2
- Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 Episodes 1 and 2
Additional screenings are expected to be announced later.
At Booth #1653, Crunchyroll will feature interactive experiences based on Black Clover and Witch Hat Atelier. Crunchyroll Manga will also have a presence at Booth #1643 as the service marks one year since launch, with the company noting that its catalog has doubled in size over the past year.
New York Comic Con 2026 is set to be held from October 8 until October 11.
