The upcoming Tomodachi Game anime has released a new trailer focusing on the main character Yuichi Katagiri. The psychological thriller anime will premiere on April 5, and studio Okuruto Noboru is in charge of the production. Nana Mizuki is singing the opening theme “Double Shuffle”, while Saji is singing the ending “Tomoshibi”. You can watch the new trailer below:

When their class’s school trip funds are stolen, five of them are dragged into a mysterious ‘friendship game’ as a result of someone’s debt. They don’t know who entered them into the game or why, and their friendship is put to the test in a series of games. The main character Yuuichi Katagiri has to use his intellect and show no mercy in order to clear the challenges, with each of the friends having their own doubts and motivation. Mikoto Yamaguchi conceptualized the manga, while Yuki Sato writes and illustrates it. It runs in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since December 2013. It went on hiatus in December 2019, returned for a chapter in February 2020, and went on hiatus again. The manga inspired two live-action films and a live-action series, all of which aired in 2017.
