Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2 Announced

Season 2 of Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome is Tough for Mobs has officially been announced earlier today with a teaser visual. Studio ENGI animated the first season of the series, with Kazuya Miura and Shin’ichi Fukumoto as the directors. Crunchyroll streamed the first season and it had a total of 12 episodes.

The character designer for the anime, Masahiko Suzuki, also drew a special celebratory illustration to commemorate the announcement:

The anime is based on Yomu Mishima’s Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome is Tough for Mobs (Otomege Sekai wa Mobu ni Kibishii Sekai Desu) light novel series. Micro Magazine has been publishing it with Monda’s illustrations since 2018, and it currently has 10 volumes available. A manga adaptation by Jun Shiosato is being serialized by Fujimi Shohbo on Dragon Comics Age, and as of now, it has 10 volumes in circulation. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the original Trapped in a Dating Sim light novel series in English. Season 2 of the series will start at volume 3 and you can read the synopsis below:
