The upcoming girls’ love anime Whisper Me a Love Song revealed its first key visual, featuring the main characters Himari Kino and Yori Asanagi. The two characters also appeared in the teaser visual. Studio Cloud Hearts is animating the series, which is slated to premiere on January 2024.
Xin Ya Cai is directing the series with scripts written by Hiroki Uchida. Minami Yoshida is handling the character designs. Voice actress Hana Shimano voices Himari Kino, while Asami Seto plays the role of Yori Asanagi. The rest of the cast members include Mikako Komatsu as Aki Mizuguchi, Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsuitsui, Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana, and Yuna Nemoto as Shiho Izumi. As for the singing, Kana Sasakura is in charge of Yori Asanagi’s vocals and Sui Mizukami will perform as the vocal artist of Shiho Izumi.
The TV anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Eku Takeshima which was initially serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime in 2019. Kodansha Comics is licensing the manga in English they described the first volume as follows:
Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari’s surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what “love” really means
