Fuji Kaze has announced an Asian tour for the first time since COVID-19 music guideline protocols were abolished and the artist is bringing along pop duo YOASOBI and rock band King Gnu. Meanwhile, YOASOBI’s “IDOL” has continued to dominate the Top 200 Billboard charts, with its twelfth week in the Top 10 of the Billboard Global 200 charts, and its thirteenth week in the Top 10 of the Billboard Global 200 Excluding U.S. charts.
Fuji Kaze’s tour will be held between June and July, with events in Seoul, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Taipei and Hong Kong. American fans of YOASOBI won’t have to wait too much longer to see “IDOL” performed live, though, as YOASOBI will be headed to the Head in the Clouds music festival in Los Angeles in August.
YOASOBI’s staff also shared another victory for “IDOL”—After eleven weeks on the YouTube Global Music charts, “IDOL” stormed to the top spot, coinciding with the finale of Oshi no Ko anime’s first season.
If you don’t put your trust in established music charting corporations like Billboard or YouTube, then we’re happy to report that Anime Corner awarded YOASOBI’s “IDOL” the “Best Opening Theme Song of Spring 2023” after it took home a staggering 21.54% of the votes.
