Ascendance of a Bookworm Light Novel Is Nearing Its Final Arc

Mipon recently conducted an interview with Miya Kazuki, the author of Ascendance of a Bookworm light novel series to celebrate the release of the 3rd season of the anime this spring. In the interview, Kazuki-sensei was asked how much more there is left to tell in the light novel version since the web novel is already done.

According to Kazuki, the light novel version of the series is nearing its final story arc and she is also currently writing Part 5: Volume 9. Moreover, she estimated that the final volume would most likely be Volume 12 of the fifth part. Kazuki-sensei also mentioned in the interview that she’s planning to write a whole new story after finishing the spin-off version of Ascendance of a Bookworm about a young archnoble and student of the Royal Academy. It’s worth noting that the web-novel version is already done.

The author also touched upon the research and preparation that went into writing the story, as well as her involvement in the production of the anime adaptation.

The most recent part of the light novel (fifth) has 8 volumes available at the moment. J-Novel Club is publishing the English version of it with Part 4: Volume 6 releasing this April.

I can talk about seiyuus for days. A connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things and fluffy romance stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side.
