Episode 9 of Attack on Titan The Final Season is out, and it broke our hearts again before getting us ready for the war. Isayama gave us a flashback to see Sasha again right after her death. Her asking Onyankopon why he was a different color and the explanation he gave her was priceless. We also got to see the Marlyean master of cooking Niccolo, who got attached to the Eldians, and especially Sasha, who enjoyed his meals the most.
After seeing Mikasa and others sad at the funeral, Niccolo arrived. After some guy starts hitting him and Jean and Connie saving him, we can see he’s heartbroken too. Then Connie mentions how close he was to Sasha and soon after Sasha’s father arrives as well. He shows no anger towards the Marleyan Niccolo, and accepts his invitation to taste his food. Even throwing in a joke that it will be free. We also got another Zeke and Levi moment, with the 2 chatting in a carriage. Levi has not forgotten his promise to Erwin, but he’s willing to wait until they complete the plan before killing him.
Then we saw the main trio getting mentally ready for what’s coming. Armin was talking to Annie, while Mikasa was at the graveyard. Meanwhile Eren ties his hair in a manbun and also says to himself that the only way to win is to fight. His new character design is awesome!
