On June 23, 2021, the official website for the upcoming “Battle Game in 5 Seconds” anime released a new trailer. Moreover, it features the anime’s opening song titled “No Continue” by Akari Kitō. In case you missed it, the first promotional video for the show is released last May 5. Not only that but, the “Battle Game in 5 Seconds” anime will premiere on July 12, 2021.

Saizō Harawata launched Battle Game in 5 Seconds After Meeting as a webcomic. After that, with Kashiwa Miyako in charge of the illustrations, the series was remade. Shogakukan started publishing its remake on its MangaONE app and Ura Sunday magazine in August 2015. The manga is still ongoing, and currently has 16 published volumes. SynergySP and Vega Entertainment will take care of the series’ animation. In addition, Studio A-CAT will provide the CG animation.
Akira Shiroyanagi, a 16-year-old high school student with excellent grades and a hobby of gaming, comes to a realization that his normal life is boring. When he is attacked one day by a mysterious bandaged man who appears out of the blue, he manages to fight off the attacker, but is killed by a magician-like woman who appears later.
Later, Akira wakes up in a mysterious, hospital-like facility and the magician-like woman, Mion, appears in a hall full of people in similar circumstances. They are instructed to fight using the “abilities” they are each given.
After the first program of one-on-one battles, the second program with groups of five fighting each other, and the third program of team competition, the stage is moved to the fourth program where six groups of twelve people, including one observer, fight each other.
