The official Twitter account for the Blue Lock anime adaptation has revealed a new character trailer, again featuring one of the supporting characters, Tsurugi Zantetsu. The anime previously confirmed an October 2022 release date, with studio 8bit in charge of the production. Kazuyuki Okitsu voices the striker featured in this trailer, and you can watch the video on Bandai Namco’s YouTube channel:

Muneyuki Kaneshiro (As the Gods Will: The Second Series) writes the original manga, while it’s illustrated by Yusuke Nomura (Dolly Kill Kill). It’s serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine (the magazine of Fire Force, Edens Zero, etc.) since August 2018. The series also won Best Shonen at the 45th Kodansha Manga Awards in 2021, an award that was previously won by Tokyo Revengers in 2020. Kodansha has announced an English print release for Summer 2022, and they describe the story:
