The BLEACH creator Tite Kubo also gave a special interview and talked about being involved with the animation production process and what he’s most excited about. He said fans he gave many suggestions for the battle and color designs, and that fans can expect a faithful adaptation from Studio Pierrot based on what he’s seen so far. Studio Pierrot also produced the TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 with a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and they describe the TYBW story:
The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it, meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Arc (TYBWA) will premiere exactly 18 years after the anime originally started and over 10 years since it ended.
