Bucchigiri Original Anime Announced With Visual and Trailer, Directed by Hiroko Utsumi at MAPPA

A new anime directed by Hiroko Utsumi at studio MAPPA has been announced, and it’s titled BUCCHIGIRI (Bucchigiri?!). The anime will premiere in January 2024, and a teaser visual and trailer have been revealed. The announcement came in the middle of the MAPPA STAGE 2023, and you can watch the trailer below:

Hiroko Utsumi is known as the director of Banana Fish, which was also animated by MAPPA. Check out the teaser visual:

The visual features the main character and his former best friend. The two reunite and become involved in a battle of the powerful. The trailer also features the two, along with the rest of the characters, most of who seem rather eccentric. The full staff for the Bucchigiri anime by MAPPA consists of:
