Bucchigiri, the previously announced original anime from studio MAPPA, has revealed character visuals for the characters that will be appearing in the anime at the Anime Expo 2023 event in the US. The anime will premiere in January 2024. The characters are Arajin Tomoshibi, Matakara Asamine, Mahoro, Kenichiro, and Marito. No details on who will voice these characters have been announced as of this writing.
Bucchigiri (stylized as Bucchigiri?!) was first announced during the MAPPA STAGE 2023 event in May this year. Hiroko Utsumi, known for directing Banana Fish and SK8 the Infinity, is directing the series. The full staff list for the anime includes:

Bucchigiri is not MAPPA’s first time venturing into original anime projects. Some of those titles include Terror in Resonance (2014), Punch Line (2015), Yuri!!! on Ice (2016), Zombie Land Saga (2018), Sarazanmai (2019, co-produced with Lapin Track), Listeners (2020), and Takt Op. Destiny (2021). The upcoming anime film Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojo by Contrail, MAPPA’s subsidiary, will premiere this September.
