Chainsaw Man manga author Tatsuki Fujimoto live-tweeted his reactions on episode 8 of the anime adaptation titled “Gunfire” in real-time during the broadcast. The manga creator “borrowed” the Twitter account from Koharu Nagayama, an account he created by his “sister” who uses it to post about her daily life.
“This is Tatsuki Fujimoto. I’d like to do it also today!” the Chainsaw Man manga author appeared on Twitter five minutes before the broadcast and made an announcement about the manga in the next tweet. He said that the series will take a break this week or next week and there will be a chapter that has more or fewer pages than usual. He concluded the tweet with an apology. Animation studio MAPPA is animating the Chainsaw Man anime based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga of the same name serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to January 2021 with a total of 11 volumes. The series’ second part is being published on Shueisha’s online manga service Shonen Jump +. The series surpassed 16 million circulating copies with the 12th volume’s release on October 4. The anime adaptation was chosen as Anime Corner’s most anticipated Anime of Fall 2022 by fans.
