Chainsaw Man is officially getting an anime movie titled Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, as announced earlier with the teaser visual and trailer. Studio MAPPA will again be in charge of the production. Reina Ueda voices Reze, who is the star of the Bomb Girl arc.
The movie was announced during a Jump Festa ’24 stage dedicated to the anime. Kikunosuke Toya, Tomori Kusunoki, Shogo Sakata, and Ai Fairouz attended the stage (they were also joined by Reina Ueda after the reveal of the announcement).
The first anime season premiered last fall, and it ran for a total of 12 episodes. MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka said that the Chainsaw Man anime was a complete financial success, and Kenshi Yonezu performed the opening theme song “KICK BACK.” Each episode had a different ending theme song performed by a different artist, and they were:

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.
Tatsuki Fujimoto first started the Chainsaw Man manga in 2018, and part 1 ended in 2020 with a total of 97 chapters and 11 volumes. Part 2 began in July 2022. Viz Media licensed the manga in English.
