Date a Live IV revealed the preview images for episode 5. The series will resume on May 6, 2022, and we will see how Shido and the spirits spend their time in another world. You can check out the images below:
The synopsis of episode 5 states that Shido and the spirits were swallowed by Beelzebub and that they will find themselves in a strange world when they wake up. Shido has a tail in this unusual new world…

Date a Live IV premiered on April 8, 2022, and it currently has 4 episodes. Jun Nakagawa (Hig School Fleet) is directing the series, while studio GEEKTOYS (Date a Bullet) is animating. Studios AIC+ animated the first season in 2013, Production IMS worked on season 2 in 2014, and season 3 was animated by J.C. Staff in 2019. Keitaro Motonaga directed all of it. The anime is based on Koshi Tachibana’s Date a Live light novel series. Fujimi Shobo began serializing it in 2011 with Tsunako’s illustrations. It ended in 2020 with a total of 22 volumes available. Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English and describes the plot as:
April 10. The first day of school. Shido Itsuka is rudely awoken by his personal alarm clock—his little sister. It’s shaping up to be another typical day…well, as typical as it gets on a planet plagued by massive spatial quakes. Little does Shido know, however, his life is about to take a sudden turn when he encounters the source of this destructive phenomenon—a girl his age, apparently known as a Spirit. Turns out, there are only two ways he can stop her from unleashing hell on the world: Eliminate her by force or placate her…by taking her out on a date and making her fall in love with him!
