The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 episode 5 preview video was released on the official KADOKAWAAnime Youtube channel on Monday—preview images were also released on the official site. Last week’s episode gave hope for giving this season a much-needed turnaround. And it looks like episode five is ready to deliver with Ost as the primary focus.
Ost has constantly been a person of interest since the end of episode one this season. She’s constantly shrouded in mystery yet is also a rather quiet centerpiece for season two so far. Some could argue that she is solely the reason why season two has been relatively interesting. But with many questions still leftover from episode three, it looks like episode five is ready to shed some light on Ost and everything surrounding her and the Spirit Tortoise.

Hirata Takahiro (episode 2) will direct and storyboard episode 5. Suwa Masahiro (episode 3) will reprise his role as chief animation director. And Koyanagi Keigo will remain the scriptwriter.
