Metallic Rouge joins another recently announced Bones project – MahoAku, which will adapt the late Cocoa Fujiwara’s manga. Anime Corner’s report of the MahoAku anime reveal was part of our extensive coverage of all the interesting news coming out of Anime NYC.
The plot of Metallic Rouge is described as: ‘An android girl named Rouge is on a mission together with her partner Naomi on Mars. They are tasked to take down nine artificial humans who are hostile to the government. This is where the story of the android girl Rogue begins.‘ Bones President Masahiko Minami teased the project in October as very much a Bones anime, as well as giving fans of Kamen Rider, Sentai, and Eureka Seven good reason to check it out. Anime Corner attended a press conference with Minami – so make sure to keep an eye out for that article! The series is a commemorative work for Bones’ 25th anniversary.
Metallic Rouge‘s release date is set for January 10, 2024.
