The upcoming Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) anime has announced additional cast members ahead of its premiere this April. Studio Doga Kobo is animating the series.
The additional cast includes Maki Kawase as Chisaki Sarashina, Kaito Ishikawa as Touya Kenzaki, Ikumi Hasegawa as Sayaka Taniyama, Yoshino Aoyama as Nonoa Miyamae, Kodai Sakai as Takeshi Maruyama, and Taichi Ichikawa as Hikaru Kiyomiya. Previously announced cast members include Kohei Amasaki as Masachika Kuze, Sumire Uesaka as Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, Wakana Maruoka as Yuki Suoh, Yukiyo Fujii as Maria Mikhailovna Kujou, and Saya Aizawa as Ayano Kimishima.
Ryota Ito will sever as both the series’ director and in charge of the series composition. Yuhei Murota is acting as the character designer and chief animation director.
The synopsis of the series is as follows:
Alya-san, who sits next to Masachika Kuze, always gives him the cold shoulder.
However, she sometimes blurts out a few flirtatious words to him in Russian.
Masachika never misses a word of it. That’s because Masachika has native-level Russian listening skills!
Alya-san, who thinks he doesn’t understand and sometimes blurts out words of affection. Masachika, who understands the meaning but pretends not to. Where will their love story which keeps you grinning take them!?
The Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian TV anime is adapting the light novel series written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco. It was initially published online as two short stories on the self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020. It was later acquired by Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko imprint in 2021. Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket is serializing the manga adaptation by Saho Tenamachi which was launched in October 2022.
