Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta. (I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class) has officially been confirmed to be receiving a TV anime adaptation. Aniplex teased the announcement yesterday, while they revealed the information in a special video that was streamed on YouTube. Check out the announcement visual.
The main female character Akane Sakuramori will be voiced by Hinaki Yano, whose previous roles include Mome Sawaki in Wonder Egg Priority and Yu Takasaki in the Love Live series. You can hear her in the announcement video below.
The Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta. light novel series is written by Seiju Amano and illustrated by Nanami Narumi. The manga was first serialized by Media Factory in December 2020, and they have published 8 volumes under their MF Bunko J imprint as of November 2023. There is also a manga adaptation illustrated by mosskonbu, which began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace Plus in May 2021, and has so far released 3 volumes.
The original novel illustrator Nanami Narumi will work on the character design for the anime along with the manga adaptation’s artist mosskonbu. The synopsis:
High school student Hojo Saito marries his classmate, Sakuramori Akane, the girl who had been his worst enemy in school. “If you tell the rest of the class we’re married, I’ll kill you” “I don’t want them to know either. There’s no point in that.”
Their newlywed life isn’t going so well, and they are constantly at odds. However, as they progress through their daily lives, the distance between them closes, they have more enjoyable moments together, and they gradually come to understand one another.
Saito learns about Akane’s cute side, which he never saw before, and Akane gradually begins to recognize the feelings that she’d been keeping inside… The heart-throbbing newlywed life of two people who just can’t seem to be honest with each other begins here!
