Betrothed to my Sister’s Ex is officially getting a TV anime adaptation, with the release date set for 2025. The news were shared by the author Tobirano on X, and you can see the announcement shared over the novel’s 3rd volume cover below.
Betrothed to my Sister’s Ex is originally a Japanese light novel series by Tobirano, with illustrations by Mai Murasaki. Futabasha publishes the novels under their M Novels F imprint. There is also a manga adaptation with art by Nakagura Chikage, which is published in Futabasha’s Monster Comics F imprint. The manga is available on Pocket Comics, where its story is described:
With unmaintained red hair and shabby clothes, Marie, the baron’s daughter, has been treated like a servant all her life. Count Granado, the country’s richest man, who is said to be a difficult misogynist, falls in love with her at first sight. However, due to a misunderstanding, Count Granado proposes to her sister Anastasia, who looks like a princess, instead of the ragged Marie. A very popular work from “Become a Novelist”! Marie’s Cinderella story that began with a hero’s misunderstanding!
