The previously announced Mono anime has revealed its first cast member: Haruna Mikawa, who will voice Satsuki Amamiya. Alongside the announcement, a character trailer featuring Satsuki was also released. The anime is set to premiere in 2025.
Aniplex is producing the anime with Ryota Aikei’s (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 assistant director) direction at studio Soigne. Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) is writing the script and Takuya Miyahara is designing the characters.
The manga was first serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine in May 2017. After the final issue of the said magazine was released, the series was transferred to the Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in December of the same year. The series currently has 4 volumes available.
Yen Press is publishing the manga in English and the first volume is slated to release on November 19 this year. They describe the first volume as:
The Photography Club is in danger of shutting down?! And the Cinema Club too?! Fret not, for they shall merge and become…Cinephoto Club! Now, club members Satsuki, An, and Sakurako are asked to be the main characters for manga artist Haruno’s latest work that’s centered around action cameras. The girls head out to capture the lovely sights of Japan, exploring gadgets around them, and of course, chomp on the local delicacies along the way!
