The production team for #COMPASS 2.0: Sentou Setsuri Kaiseki System released a new trailer, as well as the show’s OP and ED, ahead of its April 2025 release. Studio Lay-duce will animate the adaptation. Hitoshi Nanba, who directed episodes of Tomo-chan Is a Girl and served as chief director for Our Love Has Always Been 10 Centimeters Apart and Fate/Grand Order: First Order, will direct the anime.

Nana Mizuki (Hinata in Naruto, Grand Blue theme song) will perform “Hakudou,” the opening song for the mobile game strategy battle-based anime. Yuma Uchida (Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill theme song performance, Sunraku in Shangri-La Frontier) will perform the show’s ending song, “Heartache.”
The anime is based on the #COMPASS 2.0 Combat Providence Analysis System mobile game by NHN Playart in conjunction with Dwango x Nico Nico Douga. Available on Android, Amazon Fire, and iOS, the game is an online multiplayer battle arena-styled game. It originally launched in Japan in 2016 and then expanded to China in 2019.
Since its debut, users have downloaded it over 15 million times. TMS Entertainment and Echoes released a series of 10 four-minute ONA episodes on the official #Compass YouTube channel from August 10, 2018, to September 13, 2019.
The video game’s voice cast will be reprising their roles.

The anime takes place in a dreamlike world where different species battle with human counterparts to accomplish various goals. It will center around 13, a non-human hero whose disdain for humanity prevents him from partnering with humans. But when the human Jin approaches 13 with the hopes of forming a duo, the hero acquiesces, as she may be the missing piece he needs to surpass some challenges that have proved far too challenging for him to do alone.
