The No\Name manga by Rafal Jaki and MACHINE GAMU has been canceled and will officially end with Chapter 14 next week. Jaki made the announcement on X, where he thanked the fans for the support and said that they are already working on a new series.

He said that he wishes that they could’ve done more, clarifying in a follow-up reply that they’d planned 360 pages for the first arc and that the “harsh reality of JUMP+ is that if you don’t have a hit you get canceled.”

MACHINE GAMU drew a special illustration to thank the fans.

The series begun its serialization under Shueisha as the publisher’s first-ever series created fully by an overseas (non-Japanese) team of creators in July 2024. The manga had first started as part of the Manga Plus Creators project by Shueisha, where it received the Gold Award in the September 2023 Monthly Awards.

The first two chapters were released simultaneously, with the following chapters following a
bi-weekly schedule starting from Chapter 3. In addition to the digital serialization, the manga got a physical version under the Jump Comics imprint in Japan. Volume 2 will be released in Japan.

The European manga creator duo consists of Rafal Jaki, known as the creator of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series (served as the showrunner and executive producer), and MACHINE GAMU, who specializes in black-and-white and fine-shaded drawings.

The MANGA Plus Creators by SHUEISHA project is run directly by the editorial department in Japan. It encourages overseas creators to submit their manga, and hosts monthly awards, offering cash prizes and the opportunity to be published in MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA and Shonen JUMP+ in Japan to stand-out submissions. No\Name is the first such work to reach the goal of getting serialized on those platforms.
