Japanese rock band Oisicle Melonpan is singing the opening theme song “Mikansei ni Matataite,” which was also showcased in a trailer.

Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend) directs the anime while Kyuta Sakai (Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World) serves as the character designer and chief animation director. Jukki Hanada (The Dangers in My Heart) is writing the series composition.

The anime is adapting the manga written by Shinichiro Nariie and Yen Press is licensing the manga in English. They describe it as follows:
To their classmates, Wada is a quiet rich girl while Yamamoto is an intimidating lone wolf…but what they don’t know is that Wada is a mobile game addict in a passionate love-hate relationship (with a 2D character) and Yamamoto has a penchant for urban legends with eyes only for her favorite YouTuber. And their biggest not-so-secret secret—these unlikely friends meet at the food court every day after school to rant, rave, and learn what makes each other tick!

I can talk about seiyuus for days and a connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things. Fluffy romance and girls coming of age stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side. A firm believer of the girls' band era.
