HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version “Luna VI: Song of the Welkin Moon – Rondo: Augured Homecoming” will release on April 8, expanding the northern regions of Mondstadt along with a new playable character. The previous Version “Luna V” launched on February 25 and introduced Varka.
The update introduces new exploration areas including the bustling Dornman Port and the mysterious Temple of Space, a floating structure high above Mondstadt that contains fragments created by Asmoday, the sovereign of sky and space.
New Areas and Exploration
As written in the headline, Version Luna VI expands Mondstadt further north where open flower fields turn into the Dornman Port. Above this region floats the Temple of Space, which contains several distinct realms inspired by ancient Liyue, Sumeru, and other civilizations.
Players can manipulate space within these realms using a new interaction mechanic to uncover hidden paths and secrets. By exploring the temple and solving its mysteries, players can gradually learn more about the Ruler of Space and revisit elements of past adventures.
The area around Dornman Port will also introduce a new boss enemy called Watcher: Fallen Vigil.
New Playable Character: Linnea
Version Luna VI adds Linnea, a 5-star Geo Bow character from Snezhnaya who works as a naturalist and advisor to the Adventurers’ Guild.
Linnea specializes in supporting Lunar-Crystallize reaction teams, with abilities that convert Hydro-Crystallize reactions into Lunar-Crystallize reactions. She can summon her companion Lumi, which increases Lunar-Crystallize damage while lowering enemy Geo resistance.
Her Elemental Skill allows her to deal continuous off-field Geo damage or trigger a powerful Lunar-Crystallize reaction attack, while her Elemental Burst provides healing to the entire party. During exploration, discovering rare animals and natural findings also earns Linnea collectible badges for her backpack.

Event Wishes and Gameplay Events
Linnea will appear in the first phase of the Event Wishes alongside the returning character Chasca. In the second phase, players will have another chance to obtain Nefer and Lauma. A Chronicled Wish featuring Fontaine characters will also be introduced for the first time.
In Nod-Krai, the Traveler is invited to a trade show hosted by the Voynich Guild. The story will center on solving disputes between merchants while participating in different kinds of activities related to the trade show.
The activities will include cooperative challenges where players coordinate aerial bombardments and fast-paced reflex games involving color-coded barrages. Completing these activities allows players to recruit the character Jahoda for free.
The Miliastra Wonderland mode will receive several quality-of-life updates in Version Luna VI. These include an increased player lobby capacity, a new special-effects editor, and expanded skill customization options along with improvements to the user interface and editing tools.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world RPG set in the world of Teyvat, where players take on the role of the Traveler searching for their lost sibling. It supports cross-progression and co-op play across PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS.
