Romelia War Chronicle anime revealed a new visual, trailer, and additional cast members at AnimeJapan 2026. The latest visual depicts Romelia facing forward while Henri, Elisabeth, Ekaterina, and Ryoki stand behind her. Additionally, an original Episode 0 titled “The First Step,” newly written by the original author Ryo Ariyama, is now available on the official website. This episode portrays Romelia’s story leading up to the moment she receives her divine blessing before setting out on her journey, making it an essential prelude to the main anime story.
Yuya Hirose will voice Henri, Romelia’s former fiancé; Sayaka Sembongi will play Elisabeth, the saint who once journeyed alongside Romelia; Mariya Ise will portray Ekaterina, the witch who also traveled with her; and Asaka will take on the role of the female swordsman, Ryoki.

Yuya Hirose (Voice of Henri):
I’m Yuya Hirose, and I’ll be voicing Henri! He’s a prince—yes, a prince!! Henri is a character overflowing with a sense of justice, confidence, and kindness. However, because he has so many of all these qualities, he also struggles and finds himself lost at times. I hope you’ll watch over his journey and the path he chooses in life. There are so many characters that the recording booth is packed every time we record, and it’s a huge group! We’re putting our full passion into this, so please look forward to it!
Sayaka Sembongi (Voice of Elisabeth):
I’m honored to be joining the series as Elisabeth! True to the title, Romelia War Chronicle, it’s incredibly satisfying to watch Romelia use her intelligence to turn situations around one after another—you’ll definitely find yourself drawn in, wondering what she’ll do next. Mariya Ise (Voice of Ekaterina): I’m Mariya Ise, and I’ll be voicing Ekaterina! Ekaterina is a powerful mage known as the “Sage of the Forest of No Return,” and she has a slightly alluring, mature charm. She often travels alongside Elisabeth and Ryoki, and their dynamic is like that of three sisters—something to keep an eye on! Please look forward to the broadcast of Romelia War Chronicle!
Asaka (Voice of Ryoki): I’m Asaka, and I voice Ryoki. She can be a bit rough and blunt at times, but she has a strong heart and stays true to her beliefs. The synopsis is as follows:
After a long and arduous journey, Romelia and her fiancé, Prince Henri, finally defeat the Demon King Zelgis, yet in a cruel twist of fate, Prince Henri coldly declares to her, “I am annulling our engagement.” As Henri and the others revel in their victory, Romelia quietly sets off on a new journey. Her homeland lies devastated after years of war, and the lives of countless people have been stolen away by the demon race—defeating the Demon King alone does not magically resolve the towering problems that remain. Determined, she resolves to reclaim a peaceful life for her people in her own way, raising an army, reviving the economy, and at times becoming entangled in dark conspiracies, all while never stopping her forward march. However, each choice she makes brings new waves of conflict and calamity before her. This is a story of what comes after the defeat of the Demon King—a tale of rebirth, following one girl and the knights who stand beside her.
