Let’s Go Kaikigumi released a new trailer along with a July 5 premiere date. The trailer was first shown at this year’s AnimeJapan 2026 event. Additionally, Mayumi Shintani joins the cast as Cursed Doll.

C-Station is animating the series and Yutaka Hirata is the director. Mutsumi Ito writing the scripts and Yoshimitsu Yamashita is designing the characters. The cast includes:
- Tasuku Hatanaka as the unnamed protagonist
- Ruriko Aoki as Mechako
- Yoshino Aoyama as Shurako
- Yuki Sakakihara as Doppelganger
- Shigeru Chiba as narrator
The anime is adapting the manga series written and illustrated by Byu. It was serialized on Omocoro from July 2018 to July 2024. Shogakukan released five volumes between September 2021 and August 2024.
The horror comedy series follows Mechako, who is the leader of the supernatural organization called Kaikigumi. When an easily scared, unnamed protagonist encounters her, he became part of the organization.
