VIZ Media has revealed a new wave of upcoming manga, art book, and special edition releases scheduled for Spring 2027. The announcements were led by the print debut of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the spin-off manga of Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen.
The announcements also include a new yuri romance, a deluxe art photography collection, a restored edition of Detective Conan, classic samurai drama Takemitsu Zamurai, and a new fairy tale-inspired fantasy from the creators of The King’s Beast.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
The first announced title was Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, featuring a story by Gege Akutami and artwork by Yuji Iwasaki. While the series has previously been available digitally, VIZ confirmed a physical English release for Spring 2027.

#Gal x Gal Yuri
VIZ also announced the English release of #Gal x Gal Yuri by Koharu Inoue. The yuri romantic comedy began serialization on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry platform in 2025 and follows two gyaru high school girls whose friendship gradually becomes a romantic relationship.

Odyssey
Photographer Jingna Zhang’s artwork collection Odyssey will receive a deluxe hardcover release in Spring 2027. The volume contains more than 100 full-color photographs inspired by manga, anime, and video games.

Sins
VIZ announced Sins, a new work by acclaimed manga creator Shuzo Oshimi, for Fall 2027. The release is described as a collection of autobiographical reflections exploring various emotions and experiences from Oshimi’s youth.

Detective Conan (3-in-1 Edition)
A new omnibus release of Gosho Aoyama’s long-running mystery series will arrive in Spring 2027. The edition will publish the series under its original Detective Conan title and restore the original Japanese character names.

Takemitsu Zamurai
Taiyo Matsumoto and Issei Eifuku’s historical samurai manga Takemitsu Zamurai will also make its English debut in Spring 2027. Matsumoto is best known for works including Ping Pong, Sunny, and Tokyo These Days, and won an Eisner Award for Tokyo These Days.

No Glass Slippers for Me: Reincarnated Cinderella
Next of the announcements was No Glass Slippers for Me: Reincarnated Cinderella, a new fantasy series featuring a story by Mio Nanao and artwork by Rei Toma, known for Dawn of the Arcana and The King’s Beast.

Three modern girls reincarnate as fairy tale heroines and must rewrite their happily-ever-afters.
Ashe in Orbit
VIZ also announced Ashe in Orbit, a new sci-fi comedy by hakei, the Eisner-nominated creator of DeadAss. The first volume is scheduled for Spring 2027.

The Ichinose Family’s Deadly Sins
Takopi’s Original Sin creator Taizan5’s The Ichinose Family’s Deadly Sins will receive a digital English release in Spring 2027. All six volumes will be released digitally.

Junji Ito: Dissection
VIZ’s penultimate announcement in the batch was Junji Ito: Dissection, a hardcover release focused on the career of horror manga creator Junji Ito. The volume will include previously unpublished manga, as well as an unfinished romantic comedy manga Ito created before his official debut.

Slam Dunk Deluxe Edition
VIZ closed out its Spring 2027 announcements with the return of Takehiko Inoue’s legendary basketball manga Slam Dunk.
The new Slam Dunk Deluxe Edition will feature exclusive color pages from the original serialization, newly designed covers, and a revised volume structure organized around story arcs.
