Seven Deadly Sins: Origins Open-World Game Announced

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins game has been officially announced by Netmarble. The new game will be open-world with “high levels of freedom” and it features a new protagonist, who will be able to interact with the fan-favorite characters. The new game will be available on multiple platforms – PC, mobile, and console. Netmarble is the company behind The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross game, which released in 2020.

In addition to the characters from the original series, the new Seven Deadly Sins: Origins game will also feature the characters from the sequel manga Four Knights of the Apocalypse. The franchise is based on Nakaba Suzuki’s manga, which was serialized from 2012 to 2020. The manga spawned multiple spin-offs, short shorties and collaborations with other brands.

The series also has an anime adaptation, with 4 seasons and 2 movies. The first 2 seasons and Prisoners of the Sky movie were animated by A-1 Pictures. Studio DEEN took over for seasons 3 and 4, and the latest movie Cursed by Light served as an anime-only sequel. A new movie, titled Grudge of Edinburg, was also recently announced. The anime series was a Netflix exclusive.
