PRELUDERS project has been announced by Pony Canyon during AnimeJapan 2022. Pony Canyon describes the project as “Voice actor × Music × Hero!”. At the moment it centers around music and audio dramas. It will include collaborations with a number of popular voice actors and the renowned composer Masayoshi Oishi.
The story of the audio drama will follow the two outstanding action hero teams called “High Five” and “S-quad”.
High Five members include:
- Junya Enoki
- Ryota Suzuki
- Ryota Iwasaki
- Shun Horie
S-quad members include:
- Yuma Uchida
- Kento Ito
- Kotaro Nishiyama
- Kouhei Amazaki
These two teams will fight against a dark organization called the “Vice Versa”. This team will have 2 members, but it is still unknown who will voice them. The activity of the heroes in “PRELUDERS” will be uploaded through the video streaming service called “Hero Cast”. Their ranking will be decided depending on the viewers’ reactions. media.
Preluders project was given a panel at AnimeJapan 2022, where the theme song “Hero License” was played to help introduce the story:
The world of Preluders is a unique one, where anyone can be a hero. Two types of people arise in such a world: “the one who aims to be a hero” and “the one who misuses power to become a hero”. Their adventures are uploaded to “Hero Cast”, a YouTube-like platform where people watch and vote on their deeds.
Further information about the project is expected soon, though it has been confirmed by Pony Canyon that four CDs will be released between May and August 2022, featuring songs composed by Masayoshi Oishi and performed by the talented seiyuu.
