Ruka Sarashina is the latest Rent a Girlfriend character to get her own trailer and a visual ahead of the Season 2 premiere. Studio TMS Entertainment is animating the sequel to the series (also known as Kanokari), which is set to premiere on July 1.
Ruka’s voice actress, Nao Toyama, can be heard in the new Rent a Girlfriend trailer:
The anime previously revealed character trailers and visuals for Chizuru and Sumi. The main cast is returning for the second season and, in addition to Nao Toyama as Ruka, includes:
- Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita
- Sora Amamiya as Chizuru
- Rie Takahashi as Sumi
- Aoi Yuki as Mami

Kazuomi Koga is directing season 2 of Rent-a-Girlfriend anime., with Kanna Hirayama on character designs. Hyadain is composing the music. TMS Entertainment also animated the first season of the anime adaptation, which had 12 episodes and aired in the summer of 2020.
The story is based on a manga by Reiji Miyajima. Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes the plot as:
In today’s Japan, “rental” services can deliver an afternoon with a “friend,” a “parent,” even a fake girlfriend! After a staggering betrayal by his girlfriend, hapless freshman Kazuya gets just desperate enough to give it a try.
