Summer Time Rendering began its second cour last week and now a preview for episode 14 has been revealed. The anime still hasn’t had its official worldwide premiere. Disney+ is streaming it in Japan. The title of the upcoming episode is “to be/not to be” and it will air on Thursday, July 14.
The official website describes the plot of the episode as:
Hizuru and Heine used to be friends. One day, however, Heine was unable to endure her hunger and went berserk.
A series of events that occurred in the past reveal how Ryunosuke came to live in Hizuru’s mind.
Shinpei and Ushio, who were in Hizuru’s memory, find themselves back before the raid on the Kobayakawa family.
The mission was halted, and that night Shinpei gathered everyone at the Nittogashima Elementary School and had each of them relive the loop they had been in with the help of Ushio.
Summer Time Rendering website also revealed preview images for episode 14:
Summer Time Rendering is based on a suspense-mystery manga by Yasuki Tanaka. Shonen Jump+ online magazine serialized it from 2017 to 2021.
The manga is available on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus platform. The plot is described as:
Upon hearing of Ushio’s death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend’s family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?
