The seiyuu couple Ayana Taketatsu and Yuki Kaji announced on Thursday the birth of their first child. They also shared photos of their baby holding their fingers on their respective social media accounts. Ayana followed up with a tweet stating that she’s now going to spend her days nurturing her newborn. The voice actress also said that she is still working on her recovery in order to return to work. The couple made their marriage public back in 2019 on Ayana’s 30th birthday (June 23).
Fans and fellow voice actors flooded the couple with congratulatory messages. Mitsuki Saiga (voice of Yelena), Kaji’s co-star in Attack on Titan, mentioned that she’s deeply moved that the cute Kaji is now a father. Meanwhile, Ayana’s co-star in K-On and fellow Houkago Tea Time band member Satomi Sato (voice of Ritsu Tainaka) is relieved that both mother and child are healthy.

Ayana Taketatsu and Yuki Kaji reported to the public last June that they were expecting a child. The voice actress is known for voicing Nino Nakano from Quintessential Quintuplets, Azusa Nakano from K-On, Suguha Kirigaya/Leafa from Sword Art Online, and Kotori Itsuka from Date A Live. She also placed third in the latest seiyuu of the season polls with her role Kei Karuizawa from Classroom of the Elite Season 2. On the other hand, Kaji is the voice of Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan, Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, Melodias in Seven Deadly Sins, and Nishikata in Teasing Master Takagi. The actors also voiced together in High School DxD series as Koneko Tojo and Issei Hyodo and in the Guilty Crown series, where they voiced Tsumugi and Shu Oma respectively.
