The upcoming World Dai Star anime has released a special trailer ahead of its premiere this April 9. A series of character trailers has been released recently, with the latest being focused on Kathrina Griebel (voiced by Sally Amaki).
Studio Lerche is animating the series, under the direction of Yuu Kinome. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is doing the series composition and Majiro is both the character designer and chief animation director alongside Koji Yamagata. Lantis is producing the music.
The main cast for the World Dai Star anime includes:
- Manaka Iwami as Kokona Otori
- Ikumi Hasegawa as Shizuka
- Sally Amaki as Kathrina Griebel
- Maria Naganawa as Yae Niizuma
- Naomi Ozora as Panda Yanagiba
- Rico Sasaki as Chisa Sasuga
- Nanako Mori as Noa Hiiragi
The World Dai Star anime is a part of the mixed media project by Takahiro, which was created by Egg Firm and Bandai Namco Filmworks, with original character designs by Mika Pikazo.
The story of World Dai Star is set in a world where the best actors are known as “Dai Star.” Their existence creates worldwide popularity boom for theater. The main character, Kokona Ootori, vies to get the “World Dai Star” title by auditioning for Sirius, a theater company that she admires greatly.
The project is also set to release a manga titled World Dai Star Encore that will begin its serialization on April 2. A game will also be launched in the summer of 2023.
