The final episode of Wonder Egg Priority is set to air on June 29, 2021. The episode will be one hour long and will wrap up the story.
Wonder Egg Priority aired during Winter 2021 season. However, due to production issues, episode 8 was replaced with a recap, leaving the series on 12 episodes. The announcement for the special final episode came this March. This episode will complete the story and finish the season 1 storyline. There’s still no news about a potential sequel.
Studio CloverWorks (Shadows House, Horimiya) produced the anime, which is an original work. Shinji Nojima wrote the original concept and screenplay. This is his first anime work. Shin Wakabayashi directed the anime, while Saki Takahashi did the character designs. Additionally, Mito and De De Mouse composed the music. Staff is returning for the final episode of Wonder Egg Priority.
Funimation licensed the series and describes the plot as:
The aforementioned Ai scored a “Wonder Egg” from a gachapon machine at a deserted arcade. But when Ai falls asleep and a girl (!) emerges from her Wonder Egg, the worlds of dreams and reality begin to collide. And it’s all connected.
Kanata Aikawa voices Ai Ohto, the main character, while Hinaki Yano and Tomori Kusunoki star as Momoe and Neiru, respectively. Shuka Saito plays Rika Kawai.
