The results of the week 3 of Fall 2022 anime ranking are out, and BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War overtook Chainsaw Man and placed 1st (feels like number one!) after its 2nd episode. We saw the first demonstration of the Sternirtters’ power from Quilge Opie, and the anime took 10.10% of the votes, with 15,203 people participating. Denji’s life as a devil hunter earned him 8.38%, while Twice and Hawks got My Hero Academia Season 6 into the 3rd spot with 7.46% of the votes. You can see the top 10 graphic below:

Studio Pierrot is in charge of the production, and they previously produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 for a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and they describe the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War story:

The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it, meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…
